Non-executive FD
Non-executive financial directors act as independent advisors and are involved in policymaking and planning exercises. Their responsibilities generally include monitoring executive directors and acting in the interest of corporate stakeholders. As Non-Executive FD I will bring an external perspective to discussions around the board table, fresh pair of eyes on the organisation’s performance, trends, strategy, culture, and much more.

Director with accounting and financial expertise means a person who, in the view of the Board of Directors meets the following conditions: a director who due to his education, experience and skills, possesses a high level of expertise and understanding in the business- accounting matters and financial statements, in a manner that allows him to understand in detail the Bank's financial statements and to raise a discussion with respect to the manner in which the financial data is presented

Non-executive directors' principal role is to provide independent judgement. This includes:

> Understanding detailed knowledge of the company's business activities and on-going performance, so they can make informed decisionsrecognising the division between the board and management.
Independent Director
To gain true separation between management and governance it makes sense to include independent board members. Some owners can feel threatened by this independence, but in the end their outside thinking can enable the business to grow and develop valuable long-term strategy.
